To provide a replacement to the now non-operational Rugby Loran station, the GLAs have a contract with Babcock to provide a Loran station in Cumbria. The station operates out of a number of 40ft shipping containers and is completely automated, controlled from Control Centre Breast, France and monitored by Babcock 24/7.
