2011 - News - RIN Award Top Student Prize to R&RNAV member

The Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN) has awarded Chris Hargreaves, Development Engineer, with the IESSG Top Student Prize. Chris graduated last November with an MSc in Navigation Technology from the Institute of Engineering, Surveying and Space Geodesy at the University of Nottingham.

The Patron of the RIN, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, presented the award at the AGM held at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington Gore on the 14th July 2011.

 

The Royal Institute of Navigation is a learned society with charitable status. Formed in 1947, its aims are threefold: to unite all those with a professional or personal interest in any aspect of navigation in one unique body; to further the development of navigation in every sphere; and, to increase public awareness of the art and science of navigation.
