Michelle De Voy, Development Engineer with R&RNAV has been awarded the Royal Institute of Navigation's New Professional Navigators' Award 2010 for her work on a Real-Time DGPS Monitoring System.
The award is open to professionals between the ages of 18-28 in the field of navigation. Nominations can be made by their employer, university, college or training organisation who considers that the work or achievements of the individual - as a navigator in the widest sense - deserves recognition.
Miss De Voy's work focused on an automated Real-Time DGPS Monitoring system and investigated the feasibility of replacing the current manual verification process of taking the R&RNAV mobile monitoring unit (MMU) to different locations using fixed infrastructure sited at various locations

The award will be presented at the Royal Institute of Navigation's AGM on the 14th July.
